Baked for Jack is a tribute to my late father, Jack. He never got to see this dream come to life, so in many ways, it feels like this bakery is his grandchild; a heartfelt extension of him and everything he loved in the kitchen, now reimagined through my own hands and heart.
Born and raised in upstate New York, I was cracking eggs at the age of two, learning how to blend blend blend. My mom, Susan, loves to tell the story of me sitting in the living room, cutting up her spider plants and adding the “parsley” to uncooked pasta noodles with my plastic bowl and wooden spoon; my earliest attempts at culinary creativity.

Jack wasn’t just a whiz in the kitchen, he also had a killer shot at the billiards table. In fact, it was over a game of pool that he met my mom. That game sparked a love that shaped our family, and ever since, billiards has held a special place in my heart. It’s a reminder of where it all began; a story of chance, connection, and a little bit of luck.
In 2014, I appeared on TNT’s On the Menu, Episode 4 – Planet Hollywood. I didn’t take home the win, but I never let go of the dream.

Fast forward to 2025, and Baked for Jack is now a reality. Some recipes are family classics that Jack loved, while others have been reinvented with techniques and flavors I’ve learned along the way.
Jack proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard, and in his honor, a portion of every purchase will be donated to support the Coast Guard community.
I hope you enjoy these creations and that you’ll come back for more.

Floured,
Garrett
